Albuquerque, NM - Scooter Rider Fatally Hit at Tramway & Menaul Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (February 6, 2024) - On Monday morning, February 5, the rider of a scooter was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Albuquerque area. The deadly collision was reported at the crossing of Tramway Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m. Local reports revealed that a red scooter was traveling southbound when it was hit by a car. 

The rider was thrown from the scooter, and the driver fled the scene without rendering aid. Emergency crews were later dispatched, and the injured party was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as possibly being a white 2018-2020 Honda Accord. 

The vehicle likely sustained significant front-end damage in the crash. Local authorities are seeking more information regarding the identity of the at-fault driver. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
