New Mexico Reckless Driving Crashes
Some of the worst drivers in the nation call New Mexico home. No matter how safe of a driver you may be, there is still a chance of a serious auto accident. What other people do when operating a vehicle is beyond your control, and driver distraction was the main factor contributing to collisions across the state in a recent year, according to statistics. Distracted driving was a factor in 8.3 percent of fatal crashes and about 21.5 percent of collisions, resulting in injuries that year. Texting while driving is one of the worst offenders, and you can travel the length of a football field in the time it takes to send a single text.
