Clines Corner, NM – Leticia Lancaster-Valois Killed in Head-On Crash on US-285
Clines Corner, NM (August 22, 2023) – An Oklahoma City woman was killed and several others were hurt after a head-on collision outside of Clines Corner on Sunday, August 20.
The fatal accident took place on US-285 near mile marker 259 at around 2 p.m. A woman was reportedly traveling southbound when she attempted to pass a vehicle traveling ahead of her. In the northbound lanes, a pickup truck was traveling with another vehicle behind it.
The woman’s vehicle collided head-on with the pickup, and the following vehicle also became involved in the crash. The 66-year-old Oklahoma City woman driving the southbound car suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased was later identified as Leticia Lancaster-Valois of Oklahoma City. All other passengers involved in the accident were hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries.
No additional information has been provided.
