Medanales, NM – Four Killed in Head-On Crash with Jeep & Pickup on US-84

Medanales, NM (December 14, 2023) – On Saturday, December 9, four people were killed following a head-on collision outside of Medanales. The deadly accident was reported on US-84 near mile marker 202 at around 3:30 a.m., according to reports from the New Mexico State Police. For unknown reasons, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and a 2019 GMC pickup truck collided head-on at the scene. 

Both vehicles became fully engulfed in flames. All four occupants suffered fatal injuries in the impact. The deceased parties were later identified as Toure Tsosie, Sean Montoya, Guillermo Terrazas, and Isaiah Gonzales. At this time, no additional information on the deadly accident has been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress, and more information will be released as it continues.
