Moriarty, NM – One Killed, Two Hurt in Truck Wreck on I-40

Moriarty, NM (November 12, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident in the city of Moriarty on Thursday, November 9.

At around noon, the City of Moriarty Fire Department and the police were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 40.

Reports from authorities show that a semi-truck was traveling on Interstate 40 when it went off the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle crashed through a building, causing some damage to the structure.

One person suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on site. Two additional victims were injured. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
