Santa Fe, NM – Two Killed in Wrong-Way DUI Crash on Hwy 84/285

Santa Fe, NM (February 11, 2024) – Two people lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident that occurred late Thursday evening in Santa Fe County. Authorities were notified of the collision at approximately 11:00 p.m. on February 8.

According to reports, a Jeep was traveling south on the northbound side of Highway 84/285. As the vehicle proceeded down the highway, it collided head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The driver of the Dodge, 26-year-old Jordan Dwyer, and his passenger, 26-year-old Landon Crossley, both incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional passengers in the Ram were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.

The driver of the Jeep, 51-year-old Scott Sullivan, is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Sullivan is currently facing two charges for homicide by vehicle. He is also facing DWI charges, reckless driving charges, and two counts of great bodily harm by vehicle. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
