Sunland Park, NM - One Airlifted in Crash at McNutt Rd & Poplar Dr

Sunland Park, NM (March 18, 2025) - There were serious injuries reported after a car accident in the area of Sunland Park on Monday, March 17. The collision took place at the corner of McNutt Road and Poplar Drive late that evening. Two vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. 

The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been confirmed. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. According to reports from Sunland Park Fire, one person was airlifted using a STAR helicopter to a local hospital in serious condition. It is currently unknown how many people were harmed in the accident. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present, and officials left the scene at around 9 p.m. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as it continues.
