The moments following a car accident are incredibly difficult. You now find yourself with serious injuries and costly damages that can mean you are unable to meet your other responsibilities. No one wants to be in this situation, and it is easy to feel that you are alone. You need to make sure your legal rights are protected if you or someone close to you is involved in a car accident. That means consulting with a qualified personal injury attorney who understands the law and has experience handling cases just like yours.
Insurance companies will send representatives to reach out to crash victims so that they can get more information. While this may seem routine and ordinary, they also use these questions to try and get you to admit blame for the accident. This is one way the insurer can bar you from getting the compensation you are owed following a serious collision. You need to have a lawyer handling your case so that you can send the adjuster to the insurer and have them answer any questions. This will protect your rights and allow you to fully focus on your health, well-being, and recovery.
